IA Northern Ireland provides support to people living with a stoma or internal pouch. We cover every area of Northern Ireland and all of our officers have experienced this surgery.

Meetings are held in Belfast and at other locations throughout the province.

To all those in Northern Ireland with an ileostomy!!

Researchers in the Nutrition Innovation Centre for Food and Health, Ulster University, are looking for volunteers to take part in a study on bone mineral density, vitamin D status and calcium intakes.

You must be based in Northern Ireland, aged between 18 and 70, have an ileostomy and be 2+ years post operative.

The study involves 1 x DXA scan for bone health: 1 x blood sample: 1 x ileal fluid sample: 1 x 4 day food diary:  3 x questionnaires: height and weight.
